The final of the Senior Cup lived up to the billing.  In fine conditions, but with overcast skies; both Thurlton and Rookery performed well, with each in turn taking the intitiative.  With only a few ends to go it seemed the result could go either way, but over those last ends  Rookery took control to run out victors by 99 shots to 87.

Presentation of the Senior Cup

The Junior Cup followed the pattern of the Senior. For most of the match Stanton held the lead but once again the final few ends altered the outcome of the game and Margaret Catchpole slowly but surely overtook their opponents finishing with a 10 shot victory, winning by 90 shots to 80.  The quality of the final was high especially considering the very wet conditions that were present from the first to last delivery.  The bad weather necessitated that the presentation had to be made inside the club house at Brandon BC who hosted both finals.  Our thanks to them for the use of their facilities.
