SUFFOLK AT THE NATIONAL FINALS 2022


ADAMS   Derbyshire 192  Suffollk 146  After a reasonably good start, Suffolk fell away with around 60 ends to play.


2 Bowl Singles  G. Hard - bye to second round where he lost 18-21 to the eventual winner from Lincolnshire.


4 Bowl Singles  P. LeGrice - Won First Rd Match 21-16 but lost in the second round 12-21


Under 25 Singles    R. Hard - Lost his first round match 7 - 21


Senior Singles K. Dyer - bye to the second round where he lost 16-21


Secretaries Singles    M. Smith -  Won First rd 21-5, and Second Round 21-12 but lost in the Semi-Final 15-21 to the eventual winner from Lincolnshire.

Champion of Champion Singles D. Ramsbottom - bye to the second round where he won 21-10, however he lost his semi-final 4-21 to the eventual winner from Norfolk.

Mens Pairs  I. Parnell, G. Ward - won in the first round 19-13 but lost in the second round 15-20


Mixed Pairs   S. Plummer, D. Brown - Bye to Second round where they lost 11-25 to the eventual winners from Huntingdonshire/

Senior Pairs  P. Hurren, K. Dyer - bye to the second round where they won 21-19, won Semi-final 19-9. They went on to win the final by an impressive 26-5 and are the National Champions.

Senior Mixed Pairs    L. Radford, T. Dodds  - Scratched from Competition


2 Bowl Rinks  A. Riches, P. Bugg, D. Brown - Lost first rd match 9-21


3 Bowl Rinks    A. Riches, P. Bugg, D. Brown - Won First Rd match 22-10, Won 2nd Rd Match  16-9 and won the Semi-Final 15-13, but lost in the final to the Norfolk Rink 16-22

Mixed Rinks  V. Newsome, C. Newsome, N. Newsome - Won First Rd match 22-10, Lost 2nd Rd 10-22 to the eventual runners-up.

Under 25 Open Pairs  M. Smith, J. Carter - lost in the first round 13-21 to the eventual runners-up.
